I've been using this for several years. the music is soothing while I search for astrophotography targets in the darkness outdoors. the information is also useful when showing kids and friends what I am looking for and trying to capture myself. I don't always find all ngc and Messier catalog items but it seems to be improving with time. I enjoy the free app. The new version would be nice but the price is beyond my hobby expense since I use it 2-3 nights per month when I can get out to photograph

Honestly, save your money for pro/+ if you're looking for a stargazing app for a telescope. Free sky safari does everything this does, The UI's are just nicer. I was impressed with the new UIs but was deeply disappointed with the fact that almost nothing is new features wise. Object placement is accurate. There is no equipment option. You do get access to 3D models of planets and nebulae, so that's neat. If it's a 3D observatory thing you're looking for, Celestia has a larger selection.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THIS POOR APP! The version prior to this update - is the one that I wanted - and paid for. I DO NOT WANT ANY MORE UPDATES!
